Positive Declaration and Public Scoping:

Onondaga County - The Port of Oswego Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed CenterState NY Inland Port may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on October 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jamesville Elementary School, 6409 East Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville, NY 13078.

The action involves a proposal by the Port of Oswego Authority to construct an intermodal terminal facility, CenterState NY Inland Port, along the north side of Interstate 481 in the Towns of Dewitt and Onondaga, New York. The Inland Port will handle, warehouse, and ship containerized and bulk cargo between CenterState NY region and the Port of NY/NJ. The Inland Port will provide a centralized location in New York State for freight transportation capabilities and value-added logistics capabilities, with the capacity to enhance manufacturers' storage and inventory management. The Project will reduce costs for regional manufacturers, allowing for the provision of long-term jobs and career building, company and industry growth, and increases in exports in accordance with regional and national export initiatives.

The mission of the Port of Oswego Authority is to serve as an economic catalyst in the Central New York Development Council District Region by providing diversified and efficient transportation services and conducting operations in a manner that promotes regional and international growth and development while being mindful of our responsibility to serve as a steward of the environment.
